FIND YOUR POLAR NORTH

Set high in the Arctic Ocean, the remote Svalbard archipelago extends between 74° and 81° north. It is the northernmost place in Europe, and it is the furthest place you can commercially fly to north.

There are no roads beyond Longyearbyen. Here, you really are on the border of civilisation. Outside the city the vast wilderness is waiting for you.

Season: POLAR SUMMER

After mid-May the snow quickly disappears. Small flowers start to appear along the mountainsides. The rush of birdlife replaces the quiet of winter. You can hear glaciers calving, and see vast blue fjords filled with floating ice. This is summertime on Svalbard.

The midnight sun makes it possible to explore Svalbard day or night –which ever suits you best! There is plenty to choose from.

ADVENTURES

BOAT SAFARI

Digging into the wild nature, you will be shown the true arctic from the inside.

Using RIB-style open boat, your guide stop every so often, to allow you to take photos and to tell you more about the arctic wildlife, geology, and the history of Spitsbergen. You pass cliffs teeming with seabirds, and see adorable little puffins bobbing up and down on the gentle waves.

Approaching a glacier, you are greeted by a group of fulmars flying around the boat, circling and squawking loudly. The most recognizable change as you move closer to a glacier front is how the sea suddenly fills with ice floes, which create loud crunching noises as the boat glides past them. The colours of the glacier front are in constant change, from frozen white to shining blue and metallic grey.

HIKING TRIPS

Lace up your hiking boots, and follow in the footsteps of reindeer and arctic foxes.

We take you far off the beaten path, in invigorating nature treks to walrus colony and across remote fjord and lake.

Curated for You

Rugged, barren mountains, often covered with ice and snow, lie alongside miles and miles of gentle tundra.

We take you into the remote wilderness of Svalbard, a wilderness still seen by more reindeer and polar bears than people.
